Today my EQ FICO 8 increased by 7 points. It appears to be the result of a 12 month old inquiry dropping off, with the number of inquiries dropping from 3 to 2.
This suggests to me that 3 inquiries is a threshold.
Congratulations on the increase! Thank you for sharing this data point with us!

@SouthJamaicawas there no bump from 4 to 3?
I don't recall. I don't think so.
Congratulations on your CS increase!

I wish you continued your previous thread with changes in inquiry data. I had to search, review and compare to this latest info. The 2 threads taken together suggest inq bins might be:
0, 1, 2, 3-5, 6-9 and 10+
However, expatCanuck noted a score shift between 5 and 4 inq. So, there is some conflicting data or something else is in play with some of these score changes. Whether or not some inquries are being Deduped may be a factor.

I can now speak to 3-5 being a bin, having recently experienced both ends of that one (dropping down to 5 in EX, and dropping below 3 in EQ). And I can speak to 6 being the bottom rung of the next bin.
I will keep my eye open for other data, as I do have more inquiries dropping off in the months ahead.

I was just going to mention that thread where I said I lost 7 points on Ex 8 the other day when I went from 2/12 inquiries to 3/12. Nothing else happening. My FICO 8 scores haven't budged more than a point or two in several months.
EDIT: On May 1, I'll drop back down to 2/12. We'll see what happens.
Just the other day my Credit Karma TU score dropped 3 points as soon as a 3rd inquiry showed up on my report.
Today I received a 7-point score increase in EX FICO 8, when a 12 month old inquiry dropped off, reducing the total number of scorable inquiries from 4 to 3.
Now I guess I'm thoroughly confused. I was thinking 3-5 was a bin, so that dropping from 4 to 3 would not be significant.
Maybe @Thomas_Thumb has some ideas.
