So we know from the collective experiences of many members here that Penfed pulls from Equifax most, if not all of the time.
a SP for checking/savings new accounts
&
a HP for credit cards, loans, and CLIs
the question today is do they report only to Equifax, or do they report to the big three?
PenFed pulls experian for personal loans and equifax for credit cards. They report to all three credit bureaus.
they report to all three, but not to innovis. I've checked recently.

They report to all 3.
Data point to add.
I applied to open a saving account with Penfed on 4/21. Uploaded my id and ss. Was sent an email that they got the uploads and I'd receive an email with a link to finish opening my account and instructions on how to fund it.
well I just happened to be checking my reports from annual credit report.com and noticed there was no soft inq from Penfed on my Equifax report
Checked my Experian report and sure enough there's a soft inq from Penfed on the 21st.
so it would seem to me that they are now using an Experian soft pull for new bank accounts.
I had a collection in dispute on exp at the time that has since been deleted.
still haven't heard anything from Penfed
hope that collection in dispute doesn't stop them from approving my app
