Navy Interest Rate Reduction Successful 14.9%

Hello MyFicoers,

Thought I would share my success in getting a Navy Rate reduction. I have never requested a rate reduction on any Navy product before nor do I carry a balance on my Navy CC's. But it's nice to have just in case.

I've been a member of Navy since 2019, every product I've ever gotten from them or was offered came with an 18% interest rate. Except for the car loan they approved @ 5.4% up to 75000 (went with a captive lender instead at 3.5%). So I figured I would send a message in requesting a rate reduction on my more rewards card. They approved it @ 6.4% + prime. So 14.9%.

I am and will always be grateful to have Navy as a financial partner in life.

I wasn't sure where to post this as it does involve credit card lending, but wasn't an actual application. If moderators need to move, that's fine!

Sweet! Thanks for sharing the screen shot of the message too. My Flagship Card is a little over a year old now, and I was thinking about doing the same. I will keep it simple like you did in the message to them. Congrats on the APR reduction!
