Merrick CLI and AF waive request

Adding this so if anyone else searches Merrick Bank, I called and asked for SP CLI, last one was automatice 5/23 $1500 to $1700, they asked if I wanted 100-300 and I said 300, they approved $200 CLI and guranteed SP. CL is now $1900, I carry $0 balance on this card, my Fico 8s are in 685-705 range, not sure who they pulled. I also asked for AF waiver and they claimed they don't do it, what you get when you sign up is for life of the account although I've seen others say their AF billed monthly has been lowered. Another thread claimed if you call every 90 days they will approve, going to do that until hit $5k limit that has been reported as max, no luck on reducing AF of $48, will ask different way next time.

Hey there @JdsFico you must have gotten a dumb CSR. I got my annual fee credited back to my account. I dont know how but I surely asked and haggled and they did it.

even when I frst opened the card, it was like a month or two late getting to me, so the first year they only charged me 26$ for the annual fee.

i like how they bill it monthly with ur min payment. makes it easier to stomach LOL I never thought I d like a subprime card, but honestly they have great customer service and even though I wont keep it longer than another year maybe.. if I can get it into the 2000+ range, I might just keep it around longer.
