Well, after closing my HH a couple months ago I decided to apply for both the standard again (100k points) and Surpass (155k points) using no lifetime language sub links. Approved for both with no pop ups! I've been in PUJ since January for all Amex cards, so I had to jump on these! That makes four new cards from two issuers in 30 days, only one HP total! I still have the Delta Gold after closing the HH and BCE in Feb and March, so both of these Amex approvals on 4/9 and 4/13 were still SPs. Both cards were only approved for $1000, but i have $21,000 that I can move from the Delta. My income is $48k a year.
After my other two recent approvals and new reported utilization of 15%, my scores are 760 TU, 741 EQ, and 715 Exp. New accounts currently reported are 9/24, 4/12, and 2/6. I've been with Amex since 2022 (first time ever). My credit has been messed up most my 41 year adulthood until 2019 when all baddies fell off, and not at the fault of credit cards (just bad luck with no health insurance hospital bills and two car repos in my 20s). My first credit card ever was actually in 2021 lol.
I need to enjoy life and start traveling. I've been a hermit for too long. The Surpass and Delta Gold (currently on a waived AF upgrade offer from Delta Blue) should push me to do so! In a year I will decide whether to keep the standard or Surpass, depending how much I take advantage of their perks. Same goes for the Delta on dowgrading back to the Blue or not.
The spending requirements will keep me busy for 6 months haha!
Congrats on the approvals! Four new cards on one hp is great, indeed!!!
Congrats on the approvals and the saving of hard inquiries!! That's a good day.
Congrats on the approvals
Congratulations on your approvals! Enjoy your trips!!
