Wanted to share an interesting data point. A day before my 1st month statement closed on my Optima card I paid of my fully balance which was around $500. My credit limit is only $500. Today when my statement official closed my annual fee posted, it was $49 with a minimum payment of $40 so I went and paid it off again.
but I noticed when I paid it off my credit increased by $50 so a total of $550 limit. It isn't much but it is a nice surprise. Now I plan to try to put more spend to see if I can get another increase.
Have others experience this as well? I thought the Optima did not get any CLI especially since it was my first month of having the card as well.
