My son is looking to buy a car from a family member (not a dealer) at a very good price but he does not have enough to completely pay for it and is looking to either:
1. Get a personal loan using the car as collateral
2. Get an auto loan.
Difference would only be around 3K for 9K vehicle
Credit-Wise, he is a ghost with no score...
Does anyone know of any banks that would prequalify him without a score?
If not, any advise on what banks would lend to someone in his credit state?
