Carmax Auto Finance Loan ??

Are vehicles financed through Carmax Auto Finance considered "consumer financing accounts"? Just asking as I'm considering purchasing a vehicle through them.

they have extremely high rates and are usually on the pricey end of the market

I haven't seen others report that Carmax is CFA.   There is however some uncertainty around how auto loan are sometimes classified this way, see this thread for discussion.

I cosigned on  santander once through carmax and while I hate santander, it was reported as a normal loan @sznthescore

Carmax looks to make the max off each unit i would stear clear of the them. And look at dealers who will negotiate they prices are higher 90% of time anyway.
