Cli dropped my score 43 points

I know inherently this sounds crazy but the increase legitimately is the only thing that changed and my score went from 808 to 765. The Cli was 12K so it was significant but all that should have done is help my utilization.  Any thoughts would be helpful. And before there is a bunch of it couldn't be the CLI, there wasn't any other change.

I agree with @GZG, where are you getting your scores from?  I you're using the likes of CreditKarma, NerdWallet, WalletHub, or most of the free scores provided by credit card companies, there is a pretty good bet they're Vantage 3.0 scores which are basically irrelevant.

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

Re: Cli dropped my score 43 points

CLIs do not trigger a score drop on VantageScore. A CLI does not cause a score drop with any of the Fico algorithms either.

If you don't know what caused the score drop, that's ok.

The CLI did not cause the score drop.  Something else caused it.

In order to know what caused the score drop, you would need to know what date the score change occurred, and you would need to see your report from the day of the score drop and your report from the day before the score drop.

While I do use a number of resources, this came from Transunion directly which does use Vantagescore

I wouldn't waste any time trying to understand Vantage score drops, it's not widely used and can change frequently.

The only change was the CLI from the day before. Score went 808 to 765.
