My fxaix in my Roth IRA account has not updated in 2 days but my ftec ETF has been updating. Anybody else experiencing this? Not only is it not updating it's not even adding my gains from the 7th to my portfolio value.
On Friday it said fxaix gained .80% which put me up about $48. I also am invested in ftec which updated and added up in my portfolio value. But fxaix didn't update to my portfolio value on Friday and didn't show a value on the app but it did show the increase on the website but didn't add the money into my portfolio value. I screeshotted it. The first photo is from the app and the second is from the desktop site.
Just to clarify there is no dividend money distributed to my account. Not sure where the $48 gain went to. Both screenshots are from Friday and it is the end of Monday right now. Still not sure what happened to the $48.
My opening comment is that Fidelity Investments is slower than molasses flowing up hill in January (yes I have so informed them and they so informed me).
Now moving on, Fidelity Investments is a Brokerage and does not have a state or federal bank charter. So, depending on how various products may cross the financial lines they may connect with UMB Bank, Mellon Bank, Elan/US Bank and PNC or Leader Bank. All have their involvement in certain Fidelity Investment functions which may intereact and potentially slow things.
Do not have an operational understanding of how all these various partners interact along with investments in the various instruments but there is a definite potential for slowness from time to time. Also, Fidelity Investment loves to use 7 to 14 day holds on funds. They generally will make them available for investing within 1 to 3 days but available for cash withdrawal up to 14 days. Go figure?
I got so mad I contacted them and inquired as to their knowledge on the new 'Fast System' through the Federal Reserve (I knew they knew). Basically, depending on what a person is doing they are holding cash which might encourage the client to invest faster (no proof of this).
Contacting them may shed some light on your situtation. The Fidelity Investments Client Services has been very knowledgable and friendly. Suspect if you find something they will take care of it right away. My patience for "holds" is probably out of line for investments but, I know funds transfer fast.
Used US Bank to move money to a small town one bank operation and it was done between them in less than eight hours. So ...
So the customer service rep told me that because it was a dividend payout day that I got the dividend reinvested and something along the lines of the original share price is cut in half or something on the day they pay out dividends.
Ok just checking. I just started investing in January and the dividend payout stuff is new to me.
