It's been 7 months since my last round of CLI requests. My income is middling, my spend is low, and my prior CLs were more than adequate, but I figured why not request anyway. My EX and EQ FICO8 rose to 815+ this month, only change is my report aging (18 months since last personal card approval). No change to TU Fico8. My EX Fico9 which WF uses rose from 798 to 804 at the beginning of the month as well.
Amex BCE: Prior CL was $18k. Requested $2k for a round $20k CL via web love button. Instant approval. I was hesitant to request more because my TCL with Amex was already over 50% of my gross annual income.
WF Autograph: Prior CL was $8.4k. Called and spoke to a CSR; asked for $4.1k to bring CL to $12.5k. I came to that number because it was 50% of my current CL which I feel WF is comfortable with approving for me. Prior CLIs were 25%, 50%, and 75% of previous CLs. The rep had me verify current gross income and rent/mortgage. The rep said that I would have to consent to my credit report being pulled, which was different from previous requests where I was told that I would be infomred if my credit report would be pulled to approve my request. I asked if that was a recent change and the rep said that the statement they read was the same one they always read. I have all my reports locked so decided to test the waters to see if the request would be a SP or not. Instant approval for full amount requested.
Prior TCL was $36,400. Current TCL is $42,500.
