BofA CLI $81k --> $96k

Hey gang,

I just decided to request an increase on the one BofA card that keeps giving me increases. Last one went from $66k --> $81k on 12/15.

I've been getting CLI's on it every 3 months, like clockwork.

Got increased to $96k!!

I'm not sure why none of my other BofA cards are growing (I'm putting most of my spend through my UCR) but I can't complain about this quick $15k increase.

Cheers!IMG_5659.jpeg

That's very nice....Do you have any datapoint for the community like when this account was opened, and how much was your SL on it and what has been the spend on this card each month on average, do you have other banking/deposit relationship with Bank of America????? Thanks...

Hi @Janneman, I do have some data points but it doesn't make much sense to me.

The card was opened back in 2010 with a SL of $8,500. I used to spend on this card but the last few years, I've put my spend through my other CCR, in hopes to raise that limit. To no avail.

I have used this card for balance transfers. My most recent one was paid off in November, just before my last increase. I've put $0 spend or BT through it since December and still got this $15k increase.

I put A LOT of spend through my other BofA cards - all gas goes on the other CCR and all non categorized spending goes in my UCR (including the very expensive daycare) but no love on those cards (?)

I do have a banking relationship with BofA. I am a platinum honors member (gotta love that 5.25% back on the CCR and 2.625% back on the UCR)

Thanks for all the detail...and I must say that you have come from a very long ...since 2010....but a remarkable amount of CL...No doubt that there are some banks which do care about their high clients and Bank of America is definitely one of them. I have this card for many years and never got even one CLI despite of heavily using this card...except last month when I spent $9k on it a month prior to receiving CLI but I got only $5k....I am not their high profiled clients yet........Enjoy your limit and I am sure it would cross $100k next time around....God Bless you...

Your Sonata lease $1300 per month?

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.
