Sharing a few recent L's for the DP's:
1) Amex Hilton Surpass CLI - Denied: Over 6 months since my last increase (on my BCP), and 4 months since opening the account. Current limit is $16,400, requested $25k. Overall Amex profile is $66,400 (not including Gold's 20k POT) which seems to be very conservative for reported income. Had to submit IV...no dice.
2) Citi Custom Cash CLI - Denied: 6 months since last increase, denial reason given is for inq's (2/6, 2/12 on EX).
3) Citi Premier CLI - Denied: 4 months since opening the account, same denial reason cited.
4) Didn't try on my Costco card given the outcomes above
Also still in new accounts territory too at 4/6, 4/12, 8/24...gardening heals all wounds.
Sorry to hear about the denials, but thanks for the data points.
On the bright side ......
Gimme a second, Im thinking
Sorry for denials
Unfortunately, you may be suffering from too good of credit. Your scores are great. You have a lot of cards. This reasoning was posted when I stated of not getting any offers.
Sorry about denials.
Thanks for data.

Another member for our club!
Sorry for the denials. I've been in denial territory with all my cards as well. Multiple love button denials in the last six months, on all that have the option without a HP. But they've been followed up with new approvals instead
Sorry for your denials, @PullingMeSoftly. Still, I had to chuckle since if I posted about all my denied requests, I'd be posting a lot more often! Lol I don't hesitate to push the big button, even when I know approval is unlikely. In the past year, I've randomly tried with Capital One, Discover, CITI, Synchrony, Bank of America, and Chase with mostly denials but occasional approvals. I've even tried when I know I'm not yet eligible, such as less than six months since last CITI approval. Just for grins and data points.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
