What shows on your CR when your Ch 13 is Discharged?

I've seen the topics on how creditors should report (no chargeoff after the Bk was filed, etc.), and that's not my concern...I can deal with that if it shows up incorrectly.

I assume all cards/accounts should show as '$0 balance' (since my Ch 13 was 100% paid).

Does the Credit Report say 'Bankruptcy Discharged' or some such anywhere (under public records, etc.)?

Thanks!

Yes, it will show up for 7 years from FILE date.

Some if not all of your accounts may literally disappear.

Otherwise, nothing matters other than no lates since file date and $0 balance.

Congrats!

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.

@Shooting-For-800

Thanks.   So no notation:  Discharged 4/2024 or such on the public record?

My credit reports showed a few things before the public record fell off:

  • EX:
    • A car loan showed, "Discharged through Bankruptcy Chapter 13/Never late."
    • Public Records: Chapter 13 bankruptcy discharged
  • EQ:
    • A car loan showed, "INCLUDED_IN_CHAPTER_13"
      • Comments:
        • Bankruptcy Chapter 13
        • Bankruptcy completed
    • Public Records: Bankruptcies
      • Plan by debtor to pay percent of income over a period of years has been completed. Debtor no longer liable for debts listed in payment plan.
  • TU:
    • Public Records: Discharged Chapter 13 bankruptcy remains on your file for up to 7 years.

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
